dont know-working right now on some custom mount plates that will sandwich between the upper strut mount and the tower. then they are going to receive some uprights to try and squeeze my hotchkiss stb in between the intake and hood by allowing the brace to move foward some-lemme tell you-my car was optioned with the quiet sound group and has insulation underhood too-its going to be close-will update soon. hey nice face

I've asked that one a few times as well. The folks at KB didn't even know. The only STB I know of that will clear a SuperRam is the Edelbrock STB.

do you have pics or a link to see-cuz i have one of them at the shop too and its looking tighter than the hotchkiss. and once the cross tower brace gets installed then the braces to the f-wall go on, but they go upwards to the f-wall so maybe those 2 parts will not interfere with anything. but you say you know for sure that it will fit? its a squeeze, who has got pictures to see the deal in place-and we are talking stock hood, too? :hail:

yup-i just fitted the edelbrock(trial fit, to check if my install idea-which is mounting the lt.and rt. uprights without drilling holes in each strut tower, will work) on my camaro and it will fit over a super ram. i have the quiet sound group option and the underhood insulation is squeezed tight so i may just cut a strip out of it to accomodate the crossover. what i did also, is attach the 2 braces that go rearward to the cowl pinchweld, on the underside of the crossover instead of on top, then used 2 power brake booster studs as bolts-the studs are really thin on the head and add very little extra thickness where i am already out of room-every bit helps. so the original question goes unanswered. but we know now one brand works. anybody wanna buy a hotchkis? im sellin it and keepin the edelbrock.

Good idea using the brake booster studs, Even with the button head bolts in the kit I still had to file the heads down some. They were rubbing on the underside of the hood slightly. I ran the cowl braces on the underside of the tower brace also I think it makes for a cleaner install.

IM really happy with this brace....the factory should have installed a tower brace, it gets rid of the flex/wonder in the front suspension.

mikeh-um, great minds think alike. nice motor and induction choice also. i wish that when i built my 400 that the cylinder head selection was half of what it is now. are you satisfied with yours? the brace is a noticeable difference? i was thinking of installing it on the car when its up on the lift, that way the droop will be kind of offset when the weight goes back to the strut towers when it sets down. hmmm......

Re: will the Kenny Brown STB fit over the SuperRam??????????????

Just wanted to give a definitive answer here because I couldn't find an answer when I was looking for one. Yes, the Kenny Brown STB will fit over a Super Ram intake, but not without a little modification. I had to slightly dent the underside of the brace where it would come into contact with the plenum. I circled where I had to hammer on the brace. It's tight, but there's no contact.
