Pics of Ultimate TBI Mods
Can some people post pictures of ultimate TBI mods they did to the throttle body? I am doing the ultimate TBI mods and I want to make sure I am doing it right. Thanks.

What grit sand paper did you use to sand it down? And also, how does your car run after you did the mod? Any noticable differences?

Did you grind the throttle shafts down at all? It sounds a little sketchy to me to be working so close to the throttle plates. Also, couldn't you just use two or three injector pod gaskets to raise the injectors instead of buying a spacer (if the stock bolts are long enough)?

Yeah, I just got done assembling the TBI unit. I also had a problem keeping the dremel still will I cut the ridge. I left the throttle shaft alone. On another note, I figured out a way to adjust the fuel pressure (after doing the AFPR mod). Just find an allen wrench and grind it down on the long side into a flathead screwdriver. When you want to adjust the fuel pressure, just put the allen wrench up through the hole and adjust the screw. You don't have to take anything off that way.

My allen wrench plan isn't great. It's still pretty hard to adjust it with everything assembled but it's better than nothing, I guess. About the ridges, it's the raised portions that follow the bore of the throttle bores but aren't connected. If you take your TBI unit off and look straight at it, the ridges are the raised parts that come off of the bores. I hope this helps, I'm not very good at explaining things like that.

A word of advice, wear eye and mouth protection. Buy a mask for your mouth and nose. My throat feels all scratchy now. I used a mask but I forgot until I was halfway through. I'm paying for it now.

I do alot of modifications to my boat... I talk to the guy that runs this company all the time, I just picked up all the parts from the article, and WOW, what a difference. This guy knows his stuff, give him a call. It's worth the moolah.

Re: Pics of Ultimate TBI Mods
since people are being linked to this thread in the Ultimate TBI section of "New to TBI?" thread, here is my modded throttle body. I also didn't touch the throttle shafts, the risk seems to out weigh any gains, imo.

Re: Pics of Ultimate TBI Mods
Thanks green92! I put a lot of time and effort into it, but now I feel like I could do it in half the time at an even higher quality after doing the first one.
If shipping wasn't so high (for both ways), I'd offer to perform the mod for people who were afraid or lacked the tools to do it themselves for a fee.
