Car: 89 RS 355/ 89 IROC Convert

Knock Count and others

Well I did like Kylef said and got a knock count of 53 at about 4000 rpm and about 3/4 throttle.........Now I went back and did it again and got a knock count of 2........then I go back and put the Auto X-ray on monitor for knock counts and run it easy and hard then nothing changed just 2!!! Getting better but I set the timing to 2*btdc for the measurements. Still low on power.

Also I forgot to add every now and then the idle will jump from 750 to 1200 on its own and will not go back down until I turn the car off.

Hey Brain. What about your custom chip?Try putting a stock and see if it doesn't improve your power.This is only a thought since your having trouble.

Yes I need to try that. I have had it back to fastchip once and they keep telling me its correct.....I don't know but I hate to keep bugging them.

Sometimes they will send in a bad chip just to make a quick buck.You've done just about everything and thats got to be near the bottom now.
