61 LB injectors enough ?
I am planning a engine swap in my camaro and keeping the TBI. Will 61 lb injectors be enough to full a 350 HP engine that peaks at 5200 RPM ? Thanks for the help.

I'm running the 61 lb injectors right now with the 350, I haven't had any problem with the way they work without adjusting fp. I'm producing around 340 hp. Make sure that when you do the swap that you swap chips too. If you don't the injectors will just spray wide open making you run real rich, or they won't spray at all depending on the chip that is in there. I've heard that you can get flowmatched 61# injectors which make them run at like 68#. Check TPIS for them. Also mustang injectors will work and I think they make an injector that is slightly larger if you want it.
Good luck,
Mike

burntblues, even with all that info in your sig, you still don't tell us what heads you're using. I'm guessing the chevy caprice eprom is working pretty good except for the tcc lockup (tables are all fubar compared to stock f-body). You must either be running rich at idle and okay at WOT OR good at idle and WAY LEAN at WOT. The fuel curves just are progressive enough for a 350 with more than 300hp (know from experience). One alternative is a vacuum adjusted fuel pressure regulator.

JPrevost, not to sound too dumb, but you lost me with what your talking about. Could you explain in more detail on the fuel pressure ?

I can't find my cam or chip specs right now, the book is in the shop and I can't find my shoes... I'll check for you tomm though.
JP, your right, I'm still using the stock heads, I'm probably going to add on some Dart heads, but I don't have the cash right now. I do run rich at idle and pretty good at WOT, but the caprice chip has done a much better job of compensating for the changes then the stock chip.
I'd be interested in the vacuum adjusted fp regulator though, where could I get that at? and whats involved in hooking it up?
drop me an email if you could about that info, since I'm not at school I barely have a chance to check the boards.
Thanks,
Mike
