Re: performance mods
go ahead and put the parts on and while in the process order a chip or moded computer.. or find out how to mod it urself.. i put in a chip from hypertech in my 91 and i noticed the difference.. it wouldnt make sence to mod the computer first cause u are ganna have to tune it after the mods are on anyway right...

what all can i do before i need to mod the computer. i am not going to dump money into a computer i will build a carbed motor before i do that.
so i want no computer change at all just basic bolt on, this computer stuff is to much i think for the money i would spend on the computer i could buy more parts for a carbed motor.

Re: performance mods
Listen, as I said in your last thread, you're not going to see the true potenitial of ANY mod you do to your car until you tune it in. Sure it will run "ok" bu definately not what you could get by tuning it. Take a look at my sig. EVERYTHING on the car I put on before a "real" tune. I've been getting by with a TBIchips tune that in hindsight was a waste of money. All he did for me honestly was tune out the egr,ccp and added a touch more fuel and spark. Even then the car would STILL have a lean spike when I mashed the throttle and it just nevered felt right. So PLEASE don't be afraid and learn how to tune. It will pay for itself in spades in the long run. To be honest, from the experience I've had with FI motors, I'll never touch a carbed engine again. period. I love the reliabilty, the ease, and the functionalilty and the superior driveability of FI.
