Convert

Well, i hope my ride is not dying. But, i do have a serious problem. Here is the situation:

I was driving to my Gf's house the other night, and i stopped outside her place, and shut off my engine. When i went to turn it back on, it started right up, but quickly idled down and just died. Every time that i tried to start again, same problem. I needed to keep my foot on the gas and the rpm's high, just to stop it from stalling. At the same time all this is happening, i smell a burning smell. Like metal though, not electrical. Maybe my cat.. it seems to be coming from under the car, and by the exhaust. I also noticed this only happens once my car is warmed up. My MAT sensor is also throwing a code, so maybe this is the culprit. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I don't have a lot of time at all on my hands to troubleshoot, and i don't have many tools or a place to work on it. Please HELP!!!
