identification of cam please??? MORE
OK...well I tore apart my broke engine the other day and I find out it is rebuilt somewhat. I find it is already bored .030 over, BUT has 3 different pistons. Very screwy. Probably the reason why my engine went too since a piston ring blew. ANYWAY...the cam was also changed it seems and I need to know what this cam is. My guess is maybe the XE262 cam from Comp Cams. Let me know what you think. Etched in the cam is 262H-R12 and stamped is 4714D. My dad got these numbers so Im pretty sure they are right. Also, with the engine bored .030 over, ported L98 heads, ported intake, and 1.6 rockers would it be best to keep this cam in it now whatever it is or get the ZZ4 cam I have been planning on for some time now? Eventually I want to get the HSR too so that would have to be configured in there. I want to keep the chip and TC stock for now as well. This car will also be a daily driver and I want power to be great for street use as well as the occasional highway race. Thanks to all who have helped me out on my other posts too. The engine rebuild will start as soon as some parts start coming in. Are 13's possible?

you need to give more info to get any sort of educated reply, like induction system, manual or auto, etc. most likely i'd replace the can if i was going thru the engine, even if i replaced it with the same thing.

OK well I thought it would be self explanitory when I said that I would like to keep the stock TC and port the intake but eventually get the HSR. Yes I am almost 95 percent sure Im getting the ZZ4 cam but since it is a budget build (1500 bucks), I would like to try and sell the one I have now.
