Spun bearing?

Spun bearing?
I know a guy that might be getting some engines that were replaced by warranty. Whats up with a spun bearing? how is that fixed? bearing get stuck on the crank?

Most definatly you will need to have the crank turned.
Sometimes the bearing will sieze to the crank but most that I've seen have either siezed to the rod or the other bearing.
The majority of spun bearings will be on top of the second bearing.
if the crank is scared very badly it would be wise to buy a new crank. I've had one go out a few years ago.It sounded like a smurf with a metal bat beating the inside of the block.In December I came close to spinning a bearing in my 2.8.Luckily I caught it.The bearings were scared pretty badly but they hadn't spun yet,

i have a 350 laying in front of my garage with a spun #3 main. it stuck to the crank and trashed the block where it spun in the block. crank was fine, actually used it in another 350 i built.
