Waterpump install, now a problem, I think....
My waterpump went, put a stage 1 stewart in. For the install I unbolted the old one, coolant spilled everywhere, then I put the new one in and filled back up on coolant.
Driving around the car stays cool, if I am at a red light and I turn my fans on, it stays cool.
Now heres the wierd part, If I get on it a bit, come to a stop and turn on my fans, once in a while it does not want to cool down and the temp keeps climbing. But once I start driving again it cools down.
Another wierd thing is I over filled on coolant. When the car is cold, the coolant is at the hot mark. But when the car is hot, it is still on the hot mark
Thanks guys

maybe u should try completely flushing all the coolant out and refilling.
or maybe the belt is slipping on the waterpump
just throwin some ideas out

Yea its confusing. I know my fans were on too. I understand the motor is going to get warm if you do a wot run. After that, I came to a stop light and it was at 180, I turn the fans on, and it goes to 190, 200, 220, then it turned green and it cooled down as I drove.
A ways down I get caught at another red, turn the fans on, and the temp dropped like a champ.
