TPI to Carb - I want the ECM to operate the fuel pump
I swapped from TPI to carb and I'm not sure what I could be missing to make the computer run the fuel pump while the engine is running. I have the mallory regulator and a guage on my carbs fuel rail registering 7PSI. (when I hotwire the pump to run)
It just won't run the pump once the engine gets running
I know the only advantage of having the computer run the pump is that it would cut the pump off if it didn't see oil pressure. But I'd like to get this working rather than hotwiring it so please don't tell me just to hotwire it.
I already know how I would hotwire it if I have to but I want to at least try to get it to work this way before I give up and hotwire it.
Thanks guys

- I have oil pressure showing on my gauge(stock guage) so the sender is working.
- My tach(also stock) is working.
- I know the computer has the ability to turn on the pump b/c it does the 2 sec prime when I first turn the key to on.
- The fuel pump relay is obviously working because the prime is working
It just won't run the pump once the engine gets running

I was able to get the fuel pump working the way I want it to today. There was another oil pressure sensor that screws into the block just above the oil filter. I took out the plug that I had in there and installed the sensor that was sitting on a shelf in the garage and hooked up the wiring for it... and now the pump primes and then starts running again as soon as the motor is started.

Well I put 1 mile on it yesterday. It's running and idleing extremely rich. Prolly need a jet change. but it moved under it's own power finally. I plan to have it all worked out by the bash on April 3rd. Hope to see you there.
