Slide Hammer: How the H@LL do you use it?!?!?
Need to pull the inner bearing sleaves out of the brake rotors. I rented a slide hammer, but have never used one B-4. I am going to try and figure it out tonight, but as always, I may need some pointers. Thanks all!

Attach the end with the theads to whatever attachment you have. Hook/screw/connect the attachment to whatever you're working on. Grab the hammer in one hand and the large weight in the other. Slide the weight away from the end with the attachment on it towards the other end really hard. It should strike the end and force the whole thing up (away from the object you're working on)
Depending on the hammer and application you'll use different speeds when sliding the weaight.

put the slide hammer down. flip the rotor over and use a BFH and a punch to drive the races out. should be two notches cut in the rotor so you can put the punch on the back of the race.
