91-92 dashboard
I'm not really that sure where this belongs. That said...
How difficult is it to put a 91-92 style dashboard/instrument panel into an 89 Iroc? I know there's a few obvious differences, like the shape of the panel and the arrangment of the gauges. But other than that, what's different? Does it use the same mounting spots or would I have to drill my own?

hey i was looking into that swap myself for my 88' IROC. I love those backlit yellow instrument clusters. they are much easier to see at night and look cool. i'm not to sure but i think that those speedos use a electronic type.

Trying to swap the instrument cluster in to the old dash is a pain in the *** . It's doable, but requires a ton of work.
Swapping the whole dash is a better solution. It's not that hard.
In either case, you will have to do a lot of rewiring on the instrument cluster plugs. Only ONE pin is in the same place between the earlier style and later style clusters, and it is a ground .
Oh and yes, the speedometers are electronic. That is why I'm swapping--need something that will work with the T56.
