Cold air intake
I'd like to know what you guys with Trans Am's and / or GTA's are using for aftermarket cold air intake set ups.
Descriptions, pics... etc....
Thanks in advance.

Re: Cold air intake
I'm looking for one as well. I see SLP used to make a cold air intake but doesn't offer it anymore. Let me know if you find anything newer.

Re: Cold air intake
The OP got frustrated after only 5hrs, that he didn't get a response?
Anyways.....The 'birds are pretty much restricted to drawing cool air in, from under the battery tray areas (Camaros are simply a mirror image of the 'birds), or through a hood.
Pics of the filter below, looking up.....

Re: Cold air intake
Most all of the so-called CAI kits are hot air intakes.
How many do you see that actually are ducting air completely blocked from engine heat?
Stock air intakes are readily the highest percentage of actual cold air intakes, but need a little help by removing baffling in them that makes them quiet.
The one above would have been better if he punched a hole through the front of the inner fender and placed the filter below it.
They just look pretty for the cost and Spectre has the most for these applications of actual cold air intakes and part, just not cheap.
Ebay is actually pretty good for having pieces to build your own too and look at turbo tubing kits etc besides a search for cold air intakes.
