sofakingdom need your help mate
right sofakingdom i had a look at the trans am today by the distributor there quite a few things hanging around i dont no if you no where thay go theres the coil still in the bracket but not bolted looks like a earth wire from the body not bolted to anything another pipe looks like a air pipe hanging a pipe blocked off coming from the head area and a bracket not bolted to anything has a couple of wires going to the block i have pics of them all if you want to send me your email address can send you pics of it all if you have a 5.7 tpi can you see where there all ment to be would like to no where that bracket bolts to with the block on it not that good with computers but can send pics by email

The earth wire probably goes to the rear of the right head.
Take a pic of the stuff and post it here (use the "advanced" page and "manage attachments"), that's probably the best way to get the most help.
The plug keeping the car from running is about a 4-pin small Weatherpak type; if memory serves, its mate should be coming out of the harness that runs along behind and below the dist.

just had a look at it tonight took apart all the plugs sprayed them all up cant see any unpluged i think il see what power ive got going to it all next does anyone know how to test the fuel pump sorry couldnt get pics on there too big and dont know how to downsize them

hi ttop350 the problem is i bought a 1989 trans am gta convertible 5.7 tpi which has been stood up for quite a while i got it to spark with a new pick up coil ignition module cap and rotor now its getting no fuel ive had it running by spraying fuel in the throttle body but it wont get fuel by its self ive checked the fuse by the battery and i can hear the fuel pump prime any help would be much apreciated

thanks for the reply eseibel67 ive had a go at it today its got fuel upto the rail just not fireing the injectors but playing around with the wires by the distributor and it started but only one time and wouldnt start again so im going to check theres no wires split on that plug that goes to the ignition module

Since its been sitting, it sounds like your injs are clogged. Either replace them or have them cleaned and hope for the best.
