my firebird and its accelerating hesetation

So basically i have a 3.1l v6 firebird with 158XXX miles on it. Today i was driving it and it was running fine but about 20 min in i roll up to a red light and i try to accelerate and the car just starts bogging down to about 500 rpm and is stuttering so i put my foot farther down and it starts accelerating like normal.i thought at first my transmission was slipping or something but its not that its something with the engine. It feels almost like its not getting enough gas or something like it jerks a little bit but then catches and drives normal it only happens at dead stopps and is fine when rolling. just thought someone could point me in the right direction

Try cleaning your throttle body. Try fuel filter. Fairly easy to get to. Those are cheap and easy. Any local autozone should be able to see any codes stored in the system "even though your check engine light may not be on" depending on how mechanically inclined you are you can pressure test fairly easy on them also
