Serpentine Conversion?
So i have a gen 1 350 small block in my 86 and am thinking about doing the serpentine belt conversion. My AC pulley slips all the time as well as my alternator. My alternator slipped at high RPMs a while back and threw the belt and now the alternator sometimes cannot keep up with charging and voltage drops low.
Is the serpentine option worth doing? I have seen some pretty sweet conversion kit/dress up combos on summit racing that include new alternators and all the pulleys and belts nice and dressed up. Anyone ever have any experience with doing one of these?
Recommendations?

Re: Serpentine Conversion?
I did a serpentine conversion on my 84 T/A and I love it. I would never go back to the V-belt set up ever...EVER. The main thing to consider is that the AC and Alternator are on the other sides of the car with the conversion. AC on passenger side, Alternator on drivers side. So, you will need to move some wires around and make sure you bring the AC lines from the donor car with you if you intend to use it like I do mine.
