fuel return line

how can I make a fuel return line on a deadhead holley regulator? I have a summit brand 140gph electric pump to the dead head regulator which feeds the carb and my nitrous? can I splice the nitrous line and run return that way? pumps working harder then it should with no return I believe

You can't change the nature of the regulator. Buy a proper bypass regulator for it. Look up Mallory 4309. Lots of guys here have used them, as have I.
