91 3.1 camaro idle surge and stall
hello everyone i created an earlier thread when i first got this car and i've been working on it off and on for a few months and recently got it running good or so i thought until i drove it down the road and when it warmed up it starts surging and eventually stalls at an idle. some information on what i've done to it so far.
list of parts replaced with brand new parts
fuel injectors
tps sensor
fuel pump
egr valve
distributor
cap and rotor
plugs
plug wires
the smog pump was also locked up when i got it this is my main concern and dont know if this could cause my surging and stalling at an idle.
Only code it is giving is when it dies and sometime going down the road is 32 done all my research on forums etc all lead back to the egr valve thats why i replaced it cause the old one i found a bolt broke holding it together and leaving a gap between the plates was sure i had found the problem but still having the same surging problem. Don't know if this could be caused by the smog pump being bypassed. any help would be appreciated.

Since you are still getting an EGR code I would take it off again and make sure the passages to and from it are clear of soot and make certain you have good vacuum to the EGR itself. I had a somewhat similar issue. I took the EGR off and cleaned it out as wall as the passages to it and it greatly improved my idle quality.

thanks for response i have already removed egr valve and cleaned and checked passge ways and
its electronic no vacuum lines going to it that i know of.
The only thing i havent changed that has anything to do with the way the egr operates is the temp sensor i will try that this weekend
