code 54 different question then the rest
hello all! i have an 88 GTA 5.0 5 speed car that is in need of some work. the car runs decent but not great. i drove the car for the first big trip since i have had it, 15 miles each way on a highway. the car ran pretty good other then some vibrations, but that has nothing to do with my question. the question is i got code 54 after parking the car in my garage, i have researched the code and it seems to be fuel related. the odd thing is when i jumped my ALDL connector the fans turned on????? and they were on full blast. the P.O. wired the fans to come on when the car is started ( i assume because the switch failed ) and normally they run but when i jumped the connector they were running SUPER STRONG odd??? also the car starts and runs fine in regards to the fuel pump, i was also told it was replaced prior to me buying it. any ideas here? is the fans coming on when the ALDL is jumped normal? the wiring at the rely looks horrible also just an FYI

Found out that the wiring by the fuel pump relay is really bad taped it up temporarly and it seemed to work
