HELP! turns over but won't catch
1988 trans am gta with tpi. Was letting it sit to warm up but it stalled and sat there for a minute. when I went to go start it, it turns over but wouldn't start. I thought the engine might be flooded so I let it shut for awhile and tried again. Still nothing. Now it sat over night and tried it once more, still nothing. Tried jumping it as well, still nothing. Is it just really flooded or is it something worse? What should I do?

Re: HELP! turns over but won't catch
I think it could be the fuel pump, or possibly even just the filter.

Re: HELP! turns over but won't catch
yep, check fuel pressure, but first open the gas cap, and have someone turn the key to run while you have an ear to the open filler tube, if you dont hear the pump prime, i would start checking for power to the pump ... or you could just go get some starting fluid and see if it runs on that, if so it is a fuel problem ... also make sure the security light is going out after a few seconds (i would think it is, as it turns over)
