No oil flow to the valves?

I began to notice a ticking noise on the left side of my 2.8l V6, mainly when it is cold. I took off the oil fill cap and looked in with a flash light with the engine running. The ticking seems to be the valve right behind the oil cap. At idle, should you be able to see oil squirting? I don't see any oil spraying at all. What could be causing the ticking/low oil flow? My oil pressure is good by the gauge, and I use Valvaline full synthetic oil.

2.8 are known for eating lifters and rod bearings.
Kinda a pos engine.
If you have bad lifters or they are plugged up with carbon they will not pump the oil up the pushrods and on to the valves.
you can try some crank case cleaner like STP or seafoam to clean them out. You may just end up replacing them.
