Oil Leak!!! Please Help!!!
I have a 1987 Z28 camaro v8 305 carbureted motor. I recently went to start the car but everytime it runs for more than 5 to 10 minutes it leaks oil pretty bad, this photo below shows the only object. Thank You

Not sure what the object in question is, but...
Leaks and drips end up at the bottom of something, but come from somewhere higher up. That object appears completely dry to the left of the drip, but wet to the right (toward the center of the engine). Therefore I'd suspect the oil pressure sending unit, a sort of bell-shaped thing right below and behind the driver's side of the distributor.

I agree with Sofa. Its either that or a valve cover gasket or the intake china wall gasket. With that pic its hard to tell. Flashlight and a good eye following the oil trail.
Hey sofa, Kinda weird how there has been a lot of these lately eh?

Its just real weird. Ive never been able to see it dripping just the aftermath on my concrete garage floor. The only thing that had oil on it was that pipe leading from the pressure gauge. While running i noticed that the oil pressure gauge stopped registering at all unless i reved the engine. I will be tearing into it tonight. Thanks from both you

I know this is totally unrelated, and i also know money can be tight, but you really need to change plugs and wires. The $50-60 for plugs, wires, cap, rotor, you would save in gas in a short time. And your car would run so much better. Sorry, but i couldn't help notice.

Yes. Already have them. I just recently purchased the camaro and it sat for 10 years in a paint shop. $500 is a hell of a deal. 80k on the motor. Body is nice and straight. All it needed was a carb....and of course got it running and started leaking oil. It was the oil sending unit. It was loose. Tightened it up and it stopped. Thank You All
