Re: No security light
Do you hear a click when you turn to start, or is it completely silent? Was it cranking recently or was this an existing problem?

Re: No security light
No security light means bad VATS module in my experience. Time to bypass or tune out the VATS.
And the resistor b.s. doesn't bypass VATS, it just bypasses the resistor in the key, only way to bypass VATS is with a square wave generator to send the ECU the signal it expects from the VATS module.
Or get a tune with VATS turned off, that's really the best solution.

Re: No security light
Thanks for the response yeah I just realized that just ordered one from Hawks third gen and paid for over night shipping I need my car back on the road. I assume my vats did go out getting power everywhere until the ecm wire . Weird how vats module went out

Re: No security light
It happens. These electronics are 25ish years old.... Mine went out of the blue as well, & I was at college, 200 miles away from home & my 2nd car, lol.
