Fuel pump dieing.
So today while using my car for work, it died in the Oreillys parking lot. Fuel pump would not kick on. After spending an hour there, I figured out where the relay was, and since that was not it, Banged on the fuel tank really hard and it pump worked.
So I ordered one, and it will be here tomorrow.
So I've heard there is 2 ways to fix this.
Ones is making a hole in the rear deck, and the other is the correct way of dropping everything out.
Not 100% sure which I should do it. Is there tech articles on both? Time would be limited since I will be doing this at work, and the faster the better because I will be losing money. But is the fast way really bad? How hard is the correct way?

faster and better to just drop the tank-not really that hard in most cases and no need to cut out the "hatch",splice hoses, fabricate a cover panel, etc.

The tank was dropped only about 9 months ago, before I got the car. So dropping it to clean won't do any good.

Play it safe and drop the tank, the last thing you want is to be cutting metal with a big tank of gasoline an inch beneath you. A lot of people on here are completely against cutting the fuel pump door. I wouldn't do it myself but honestly I'd be pretty happy if my pump went and I pulled up the carpet and saw one lol

Drop the tank! The hard lines would need to be cut otherwise and putting a hole in the back would compromised the already soft structure.
My 2˘ worth
Best of luck!

So I dropped the tank, and found out that the back was already cut. But the lines were not cut as the owner before me changed out the whole tank.
While it was a pain, I didn't have to drop the rear end. so that's a plus.
