plug wire shorted to frame
Hello,
I was wondering what problems could result from a plug wire shorted to the frame other than a miss. Could this lead to a failure of the ignition module, coil, etc. Ever since the plug wire shorted to ground and before we could diagnose the problem with the plug wire, the ignition module failed causing a no start condition. We replaced the ignition module to fix the no start condition and now the car shuts off after 4-8 minutes of running and will restart, but then stalls again a short time later. The new ignition module was in place before the plug wire issue miss was resolved so I am wondering if the second ignition module could have partially failed due to the plug wire shorting.
Thanks
