Breather that fits pcv hole?
I must have read a hundred threads looking for an answer. I've stock vortec valve covers-pcv on pass side and want to add a breather to the pcv hole on driver's side. Does anyone know of a breather besides the $50 metco one that will fit? I've already tried 3 from the local parts stores with no luck.

I can't remember the size of the PCV valve. Just measure yours and go to http://www.summitracing.com/search/d...5%2B4294948718
And scroll down to "Fits valve cover hole size" and pick the size of your PCV valve. I'm thinking it's 3/4" but not sure. I see a bunch of breathers for 3/4" size at right around $20

Also,
they sell rubber grommets for that hole at your locale auto parts store.
They come in different wall thickness that can make putting the pipe in the grommet that's in the hole easer.
That and some motor oil on it to make it slick.
Carful that you don't push the rubber grommet into the valve cover when pushing.
It does happen.

It's a 1" hole in the valve cover with a 3/4" opening in the rubber grommet (aftermarket valve covers typically have 1.22" holes in them, but not factory centerbolt/Vortec valve covers). Same size as a PCV valve. So you just need a breather that has a 3/4" nipple. I've done this several times and I don't recall doing anything more complicated than walking down the aisle at my local speed shop for something that fits. I did NOT spend $50.
Here's your grommet:

Here's your breather:

There's millions of different ones out there. I just picked those two to demonstrate how cheaply you could do this if cheap is your thing.
