no run
I have a 91 RS with a 3:55 Vortec 600 CFM Holley carburetor electric choke. I have power at the fuse under the hood to the fuel pump. I adjusted the pressure on the fuel pressure regulator. I'm wondering is it the oil pressure sending unit do you have any suggestions on how to check the car will start. the car will start and run then it dies. it is an automatic transmission car. When i jumper the relay grey directly to Batt. The fuel pump runs continuously and the car fires and runs perfectly.
My thought: the ecm is not recieving signal from ign. Module b/c i now run carb. So the car been running off OSU the whole time which wore it out.
I did trade relays to test with a known working one and the FP still wouldnt work until i jumpered the grey to batt.

Re: no run
OK update: I connected the grey in the relay harness to an ignition source using a 30a switch and an inline 30a fuse. Voila! Car runs good. Now something strange happened. I came back from store and turned ign off and the car kept running. The radio went off as usual but engine never missed a beat. So I flipped switch to off bad car died. Just as its supposed to.
But qhhen connected to ign isn't the FP supposed to hut off with the key? Or at least the fire going thru the distributor?
Help!
