no spark ??
i replaced the distributor from what i thought to be a bad icm however that dosent seem to be the case any ideas? at all?

I would definately look at the ignition coil, its usually free to rent the spark test tool and if not its cheap to buy. If you have some starting fluid try spraying that in the throttle body just to see if its a fuel issue.

I suggest doing a couple searches on this site then, i'm not too good at diagnosing fuel issues it could be your fuel pump or something a simple as a fuse or something but youre gonna have to do some testing on your car to give some more info on what you know works and what might not be working, goodluck man.

ok so being the silly goose i was i somehow mixed up the the plug that plugs into the knock sensor with the one that plugs into the distributor and now im getting spark and fuel which is a huge relief. But other then that i belive my timing is off and these pesky timing covers on the vortec 350's (well atleast mine) dosent have the little thing on it to show when im at top dead center and its been a guessing game ever since with taking it out and putting it in do you guys know any tricks of the trade?
