Any way to replace the sender itself on the fuel pump assy?
Hey all,
Just putting a new fuel pump into this old ride, and noticed with my DMM that the sender does not give a signal. Took the sender deal apart and can't really see anything wrong, but no signal.
Can a guy replace just that little sender somehow without replacing the whole assy with lines etc.??
Search didn't seem to dredge up what I needed.
Thanks for any help.

What year? For the '91 in your signature:
A quick check showed numerous places offering the complete sending unit and line set.

Hello fellows, when I do a hard stop the gas gauge moves down about 1/4 a tank, if my fuel level is lower than a 1/4 tank the vehicle will stall. If I have more than a 1/4 of gas on the tank the fuel gauge will still come down when I do a hard stop but the car will not shut off. Will replacing the fuel sending unit help with this issue? anyone in southern California - Riverside County that can help bring the gas tank down? 1991 RS 305 TBI
