Re: Penalty for engaging in police pursuit?
i've gotten pulled over 4 times.
1st time - i was coming home from a friends house and it was about 11, the cop was bored.
2nd time- i peeled out at a stop sign, then they found some small fireworks in my car, along with a wrist rocket, you PA guys know what i'm talking about . i didnt get anything from that
3rd time- my exhaust rusted and broke off a little after the y-pipe and right before the cat. it was dragging and shooting sparks. i got pulled over where the cops are *****, luckily i didnt get anything.
4th time i wasnt in the camaro, but the lumina. i was coming home from school and cop pulled me over for going a 68 in a 55,in the rain. it was in a place where everything was doubled too. i couldnt find my current insurance info. instead of giving me a speeding or wreckless driving which would have been 400 bucks and 4 points, he gave me a failure to show insurance. it wont show up on my insurance or license. i'll be glad to pay this fine.
as everyone else is suggesting, you should get a lawyer. they're all over so i'm sure you could find one that will help you.

I have spoken to a lawyer and gave him a deposit. Man, that was my turbo and intercooler for my 5.3 project! I ****ed up! Haha, but you know what, I never regret anything. I say this was a learning experience, and it's not like I killed someone or did anything serious. The lawyer said worst case losing my liscense for a month or so. Oh well, I'm young still....got a lot more time to drive in my life.

always Know what your Lawyer is doing.. on your case.
now that you have one.. you cant talk to the DA with out him with you.
But you can still Make a deal with the DA. always talk with them first
it can save you Money.. see what the City offers.
you can get a copy of evey thing the City has on this case.
start your foot work there. Good Luck.. Never Give up!

Never really done anything like that. Closest thing was me messing around with a cop that was behind me near where I lived. He was a block away doing stops for speed bumps and I was at the Stop and my drive way was around 40ft away. I decided to gun it and let it side swipe into the drive way. Of course the cop lit his lights and stopped right in front of my drive way and said don't do that again. He did run my plates though before leaving but I didnt see much since I was already in the garage getting the hose out to wash my car.
As for some of the replies people have posted. Jesus christ, You guys are acting like your talking to little kids. Sure they might be doing things you will prob never do but let em do it. They are grown men that can handle themselfs and know the consequences. This is mainly going to DrummerDad.

Really? The OP was asking what his consequences might be because he HAD NO IDEA. To the OP, what city / town was it? Hartford is an a**load harsher than surrounding towns because thats where most of the illegal street racing occurs from what I hear.

No, Windsor Locks. I don't see anything REAL serious happening based on who I've talked to and how the whole thing played out. I was told that if there was property damage or injuries, it would be much worse and then they could nail you bad for liscense loss or jail time, but this never put anyone in danger so we'll see.

Every week we get kids in here, posting about how cool it is to race on the street, and run 160 mph down the road. Now it appears to be run from the cops month. Yes, some are adults, and they should be able to take some grown up advice, on an internet forum. If you dont want to know what they masses think about your situation, then dont ask.
Its pretty simple. I think evasion is stupid. Have I ever run? No. Im smarter than that. Have I ever got a speeding ticket? Yes. I almost lost my licence before for excessive points. I deserved every single ticket I got. And I paid them all. Its been my experience, that when I started paying for my own insurance, and car parts, I grew up, and stopped driving like an ***.

I hope it all works out. At least you admit you screwed up. We all do sometimes, just have to live and learn. I agree property damage or an accident involving another person, and youd be hosed.
ArticwhiteZ:
This all took a turn to ****, when you started bragging about getting by with speeding in a school zone. Congratulations, Im sure your parents are really proud.
