Re: WHAT WAS THE COP DRIVING

I've been in my buddies car while doing 150 getting chased. They can't catch up to anything that quick, but you can't out run a radio. One road block later, we were busted. lol

Re: WHAT WAS THE COP DRIVING

A few years back, me and a buddy were heading home late one night in his new(to him) Camaro and he decided to see what it would do on a long straight stretch of empty highway. We got clocked at 105 by a well-hidden cop, but we had it up over 130 before we slowed down to cross a bridge. When the cop caught up to us, the very first words out of his mouth were " If you hadn't slowed down, I never would've caught you." Ticket cost my buddy $176 and a 30-day suspension of his license.

Edit: I should have mentioned, we weren't intentionally trying to outrun the cop that night. We didn't even know it was a cop flying up behind us as he didn't put his lights on until he was right on our tail. We initially thought it was another friend of ours that we had been out with that night trying to catch up to us. And no, none of us were drinking that night.

I saw that! It gets pretty twisty up there, depending on where they were at, with sheer rock faces on either side of the highway.

If you have a license plate, they'll find you.

Even if not, the eye in the sky is always faster. Once the bird goes up you're toast.

Yea I agree with this one especially driving to Las Vegas from Los Angeles. The cop plane is always there even if you you don't think it's flying.

Re: WHAT WAS THE COP DRIVING

Late 80's / early 90's when the cops had the fox body 5.0's...
I had a friend with a hopped up one... while driving a cop pulled next to him and signaled to punch it to see how fast they could go... He beat the cop and nothing happened...

I lived in Orlando FL at the time... coming home one night on the East / West Expressway... my sister looked in the rear view and said, here comes a mustang (distinct head lights)... zipped by us... and another one... 2nd one was state trooper, but he never turned on his lights for as far as we could see them disappear past us...

Yeah... can't go faster than the radio

Re: WHAT WAS THE COP DRIVING

the cop didn't catch him.

The camaro was clocked at 171 when it flew by, but later hit the brakes. Too late though. While the camaro was slowing down, cop accelerated to catch up. The camaro stopped.

Had the camaro just kept going, it would have disappeared over the horizon before aerial surveillance could come into play.

Re: WHAT WAS THE COP DRIVING

Where I'm at in Ohio the closest cop bird is in Columbus, we are in Champaign county and run a lot in Union county. Back in high school as long as I knew they didn't get my plate I was out of there, as soon as you couldn't see the cop any more change direction And get out of Dodge lol I don't do that stuff anymore, 25 with a son and a good job at a performance shop is to much to risk. I ran from one in plain city once, pulled on to us42 sideways in my ws6 and he was in on coming, my brother behind me pulled out and blocked for me, jumped off 42 on to a side street, pulled into a gas station brakes locked and jumped out, spun gas cap off on to the ground and started pumping gas, cop saw I turned on that street and came lights on hauling ***, came up to station and he shut his lights off and crused by slow, must have thought I was slick and gave me a mental touché Cuz he let me go lol always liked Madison county sheriff's 😀
