So I bought a goodwrench 350 (260 hp) for my 85 trans am, and I was wondering if I could get more than 260 hp with bolt ons. I don't want to void the warranty yet I bought all new parts for it already. It has a weiand speed warrior intake, msd ignition and wires, edelbrock 750 carb, high flow aluminum water pump, and it will have shorty headers. The only thing left for me to buy is a new clutch. Would this be a fun combo for my trans am or will it be slow? Lol

That is near the bottom of the barrel for HP on crate motors. Realistically with good headers, good exhaust, good manifold, roller rockers and a properly tuned carb that motor will make about 260 crank ~215 at the wheels. I would expect some bogging out of the box with that carb due to its size vs the motor and I would plan on getting a jet kit, vacuum gauge and wide band O2 meter to get it right. Remember the 260 HP motor is rated at 195 base and with full bolt ons is 260
The car won't be a speed demon but it should be fun to drive depending on the rear end installed.
About the only way to make more power would be to change the compression ~8:1 to something better either with new heads or pistons or install a better camshaft. A beefy cam probably won't like the compression ratio so if you are going that route do both at the same time.
Don't forget it is flat tappet so break it in and run oil accordingly.

I have set of after market vortec heads but I don't want to void the warrantly considering it's brand new and the 750 I have ran perfectly on my other small block motor. I'm running compcams break in oil for initial start up. Would I be closer to the 260 mark with my current set-up I'm not looking for max hp considering it's a stock t5 transmission and the rear end has 3.73 gears I just want it to be fun and not anemic lol

I would personally throw that flex fan in the garbage - it is going to suck 10hp out of what you have. But you may be able to coax a few more than 260hp if you get the carb tuning and other things perfect - there is always 2 or 3 hp lurking in a few spots...

I was just about to say that. . .
Also, those things are death traps(the rivets rust and eventually one of the fins decides it wants to fly away. . . .). I had one on my '83 and swapped it for a clutch fan - the car runs cooler at idle with the clutch fan.

1.6:1 full roller rockers will add some valve lift and offer a friction reduction, both of which will add some HP. If the engine ever had a problem you could easily install the factory rocker arms back onto it.
I also agree that the carb is a bit overkill for that engine. I would run a SMI Quadrajet on it. The smaller primaries will offer better fuel economy and throttle response and the big secondaries will flow more than enough air for the setup.
4th gen fans are a fairly easy swap for these cars and would free up some hp compared to the noisy flex fan. The flex fan needs to come off anyway as it is definitely installed backwards, would be a good excuse to dump it.

Those motors are solid. You wouldn't hurt anything by putting a mild cam in it, maybe 220 duration or so, that would free up another 30 hp. I think that cam in that motor is like .410 lift. Do a little research

Those fans actually work good but dont like them for rpm
Flexalite makes a black nylon flex fan. It weighs a few ozs super light
Still moves good air quieter cheap and wont break
We used to buzz those way over 7k all night circle track still have 2.
