Put down a 97 4.6L TurdBird coupe on the highway.
A friend of mine at work recently got this thunderbird. He did not know much about cars, so I helped him tune it up, and re-oiled his K&N air filter for him.
On the way home for lunch today, I noticed him up ahead, and caught up to him going about 75mph. He both nailed it, then I nailed it, but I was out of my powerband at first (damn auto), but stayed even, then began pulling hard. By the time I shut off at 110, I was 2.5 car lengths ahead.
Aren't those rated at 215 hp from the factory? Any idea about the gearing?
Thanks,
Clint
