pros and cons
I woulkd like to know what everyone thinks the pros and cons of a "TBI" system and a "TPI" system. I am just trying to get as much information on both systems so I can decid what way I would like to go with a rebuild.
Thanks
I will also be posting this in the TBI section so I can try to make an unbiassed decision.

Oh man. I don't think anyone in thier right minds would go with TBI over TPI. It's not a "Ford vs Chevy" type of difference. It's a "performance vs non-performance" type of difference.
If it's a choice b/w the two, TPI is a no brainer.

Well it depends on if you mean using a factory TBI set up or an aftermarket one. Holley and Accel offer plenty of high flowing TBI set ups. you can get up in the 1000cfm range plus range, that can easily out flow a stock TPI set up. As far as I know, Holley and accel intakes on those set ups are single plane designs, that would not give you as many flow limiters as the TPI runners do. Alot of TPI owners complain about the ''bottleneck" long runner design, which is a HP/TQ limiter. But if you are refearing to a TBI off a 305 RS, well I would have to agree that TPI is a no brainer.
