when you say 230-250 do you mean by rwhp or at the flywheel?

I would say at the flywheel.
Did you port your Plenum? I seen you had the high flow edelbrocks on there.

I doubt it but It might be, because the Edelbrock Hi-flo Intake/runners were already on the car when I bought it

The things I've done to the car so far is

- Comp Cams Magnum 270H....224/224"....0.50*....470/470" lift (110LSA)
- 1.5 rocker arms
- 2055 Hooker headers / 3in Y-pipe
- TPIS airfoil
- 3in custom cat-back exhaust

I really dont know about the 1/4 mile. I was hoping for high 14's. I hope to find out this year. Ive got Sportline springs going on this Spring, That will lower it 1.6" in the front and 1.4" in the rear, and I'm going to get some weld in subframe connectors too. Plus I hope to paint my car this spring too. I love going to the car shows! My cars finally 20 years old!

Nice, my car is also In a desperate need of a paint job as well, I go to a car meet about 35mins from where I'am every fri or sat when the weather is good, (thought I don't see alot of 3rd gens there) but I believe ur car is faster than that, like mid - low 14s

Well I might as well jump in here and rain on the parade. Midnight, the only mods you have done that have been worth the money is the cam and exhaust, and your cam is actually a bit too big. I'll bet your car is a turd off the line like mine was. My car ran high 14s with a cam and exhaust, probably making around 220-240hp and the flywheel. With the stock unported heads you dont need the edelbrock intake and runners, period. I will say however that you have a great setup to build from and you would probably make around 300+hp at the flywheel if you swapped to 'vette L98 heads and ported them a bit while you were at it. My 305 (which I just removed) had slightly less cam, headers, ported stock intake parts, mildly ported aluminum L98 heads and spun to a 13.70@100.5 mph with a crap 60ft time. You have some good parts, now put heads on it and make it run. I woudl also suggest a looser torque converter with that much cam.

tenpin842 you should not have had to tune your car when in installed the cam as long as you are using the stock maf. I did all the mods listed and never tuned the car and it always ran great...

Yeah, basically that is all the mods I have done to it, my car was at a Automotive shop for a over a year, and like I said who ever own my car b4 hand has done stuff to it and possibily more things than I know so far

but this is all I see of what was put into it when I bought it
- Edelbrock Hi-Flo Intake /Runners
- 700r4 Trans. cooler
- cat-back exhaust (change it)

if I had the mods I mention above as well as the L98 heads where as far as power or 1/4 ET would u think my car would be would be capable of ?

Tenpin,
I seem to recall that several of your fuel injectors were failing at first startup after the cam swap. I think that's why it ran so poorly. I have the same cam and mine ran ok after the swap. It's even better now with the PROM work that I've done so far. I'd bet that your car is capable of a 14.0 in the 1/4 mile now.

Yes, I had 5 bad fuel injectors that were just dumping the gas in. So that might have been the cause. BUT.....its always nice to have your car tuned.
Now, i would like a set of nice heads, but I know thats going to be $$$.
You really think I could be in the low 14's the way I am now? WoW, with nice heads ill be high 13's. That would be sweet! But I hope to install a nice stall (not sure what size yet) and im lowering it, plus adding my sub frame connectors. I think its going to be a nice 2007 when all the snow leaves.

Yeah heads are going to cost $$$, thats why I don't have them, Yeah ur car seems pretty well setup for low 14s, I was hoping that my car could least do 14s in the 1/4 with the setup I have now, but I don't know

Well keep me informed. I'm here in Michigan, so its going to be awile before my car sees the outside. I want to do a little transmission work too. Maybe a stall, a corvette servo, and that little thing that allows it to shift 3-4 at WOT. I think it might be a fun summer!

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't run 14's with that setup. It should be faster than mine, and I run high 14's all day long. I would guess your into the mid 14's with that setup. As said above, a set of heads would make a big difference with the parts you have.
