It's those threads you always see at the top of the list that are there permanently and don't move. There's a little label at the top that says "Sticky threads."

Re: TPI Heater Hose Diagram (Picture)

Can someone label the diagram? What is #5? And is that diagram from the assembly manual?

Re: TPI Heater Hose Diagram (Picture)

#5 is a bypass that keeps hot water from going thru the heater core unless you turn the heat on.

#1 appears to be hose clamps
#2 appears to be the hoses and pipes
#3 doesn't seem to exist
#4 is the hose that carries hot water thru the throttle body

Re: TPI Heater Hose Diagram (Picture)

Thanks, someone took out the diverter valve in my engine and I'm looking at this photo to figure out how he did it. I'm wondering where that hose at the top of the diverter goes. In the picture, it just seems to go towards the battery tray and into oblivion. And then there seems to be nothing going to the middle spout in the radiator in that photo.

Re: TPI Heater Hose Diagram (Picture)

Wait, I'm looking at that location again. Isn't that where the radiator fill bottle is?

That hose goes to the spout in the middle of #2 (steel line). There's a line that kinda shows it going there. Kinda like an action line.

Re: TPI Heater Hose Diagram (Picture)

Part number 2 really helps clean up the engine bay compared to running directly to the radiator from the heater core, but I found out that it tends to occupy the same space that most headers want to occupy.

Re: TPI Heater Hose Diagram (Picture)

This heater valve and hose layout has nothing to do with header install.
you need to post in the correct section. Stating what headers long or short will help.
if not equipped with air tubes you may want to delete the air pump.
