fuel line diagram
I have a '89 IROC with the TPI and I changed the fuel pump today.
The car idles really rough now and raw gas is coming out of the exhaust pipes.
The pump just sends gas into the TPI now and fills up the engine.
Does anyone have a diagram of stock fuel lines? Mine are hacked up in the back and I guess I didn't install them correctly...
There is even fuel coming out of the MAF

Re: fuel line diagram
Update
So I tested some stuff and found the return line in the tank was clogged. I blew out the rust and cleaned up everything real good. I know I need to let the gas evaporate and change the oil but is there anything else I should be looking at?
What would excessive back pressure break in the TPI?

Re: fuel line diagram
Yes, it's definitely the right pump.
New problem
It appears I got some carb cleaner on the pump screen and it came apart to pollute the whole engine with little orange particles. It filled up the fuel filter and regulator but hopefully not the injectors.
I'll find out tomorrow...

Re: fuel line diagram
FIXED!!!
Still more work to do but it's running right and almost done.
Apparently, the old regulator was worn and when the clog in the return line hit the reg blew out.
BTW, the easy test for fuel in the air cleaner and out the exhaust is just pull the vacuum line on the regulator while the car is running. If it starts shooting fuel out the vacuum line your regulator is shot.....

I just pulled the bolts and the vacuum lines from the plenum and moved the plenum forward to reach the regulator
