Head recommendation?

Hello,

Im currently looking into buying a set of performance heads. I already have an Edelbrock hi-flo port/polished vortec pattern intake manifold with matching polished edelbrock runners, so the heads need to have a vortec manifold bolt pattern... No budget limit, just looking for the most power I can.

Bought the car from my uncle whos the original owner and he bought those parts with the intention of using iron vortec heads but I think I want to do aluminum heads. been researching AFR 180s, does anyone recommend these?

I also have an Edelbrock cam in box ready for install, ill get the exact specs of that up here later when I get home.

thank you

Re: Head recommendation?

Those will work great but the tpi will still hold those heads potential back

Re: Head recommendation?

The Etech heads aint bad, a touch better than stock GM vortec heads, less weight, more lift range, etc.

But they are no where close to the AFR heads! The AFR 190 vortecs flows 40 cfm more on intake side and 20 cfm more on exhaust than the etec heads.

The Etec heads are $1300-1400, the AFR heads are $1650
