Fuel pump survey
Hello I am going to be replacing the fuel pump and starting a restoration on a roller 1986 sport coupe with a 2.8 v6 MFI. got the car as a roller I will be installing a v8 have not made a exact decision yet but my core question is what brand of in tank fuel pump should I replace the stock unit with? I have heard many bad experiences with certain brands. I have used Carter,Ac delco and Standard Motor products in the past with no problems but reading many threads about reboxed parts name brands quality slipping badly so I am little gun shy. I would to drop the fuel tank just once. To me its not the most fun job. So I am just throwing this out there. Thanks for your input.

Re: Fuel pump survey
I bought a Walbro high output pump for my bird.... it lasted about a year..... given that changing the pump is a pretty significant ordeal, I didn't want to be doing that once a year.... So, got a new sending unit, (had to modify mine for the walbro) new GM pump, put that in there, and no further problems.
