Throttle body + roller rockers

Hi guys can you tell me if the throttle body of a 93 lt1 would fit on my 88 GTA?

The reason I ask is that I want to upgrade to a better throttle body than the standard one and have been told that the LT1 throttle body has a 54mm intake which is bigger than the l98 (is this right)?

If they dont fit could you recommend a good one to upgrade to?

Mod done I have done so far are:
Headman short tube hedders
Cold air induction kitt
air foil
Hypertech super chip
High pressure fuel pump (upped the fuel pressure)

I am looking to try and gain some more hp without going too deep and doing internal's and have been thinking of doing the roller rockers.

What would anyone recommend?

Thanks for your help

Re: Throttle body + roller rockers

Seen many references to throttle body size, general consensus is don't mess with it unless doing major mods. Far more than headders. But to answer the question as far as I know they are different throttle body designs. Every time I see them in parts catalogs they are separate listings between the 350 and the lt1.

Can't go wrong with a good set of rollers though. I'd keep it simple, good set of 1.5's full roller or even the cheeper rout would be stamped roller tip.

I will add that the aftermarket throttle bodys I have seen are coming from CHINA !! they have issues ,like the blades sticking in the bores. and so on. so id suggest NOT going that route

Re: Throttle body + roller rockers

also, the stock LT1 throttle body is 48mm, just like the L98.
aftermarket ones come in 52mm and 58mm, just like the L98.

Re: Throttle body + roller rockers

You need to focus on the intake first before you mess with the throttle body.

Hit the nail on the head. I just swapped 2 professional products 52mm and 1 summitracing house brand which is also professional products.

All had sticking TB blades after warm up. I even found small aluminum shavings in one of them new out of the box.

Stay away from chinese throttle body's and the heads are worthless as well!!
