TPI the same as MFI?

Car: 1988 Trans Am GTA
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 5-Speed
Axle/Gears: 3:45
TPI the same as MFI?
I'm doing an oil change, and wanted to get a K&N filter, but on the K&N website it only has TBI and MFI. I have the 305 with TPI and just wanted to be sure that MFI would be compatible, even though I don't see why there would be any difference in an oil filter across the board for all kinds of fuel injection.
