Disassembling the fuel rail
I finally got my injectors and want to replace all of the "O" rings in the rail. I'm having a hard time removing the FPR from the rail. I can't find anything on this, but how do I get the FPR off? I've taken out all torqs screws, (the short ones and the long one specifically for the FPR) and separated the two sides and the larger (front) crossover tube and the smaller (rear) one too. But I can't seem to remove the FPR. I also can't see how to get the tube (I think the return line) out of the FPR.
Do I need to take apart the FPR to get to a bolt inside it or something? It's an adjustable FPR (I think, there is a screw on top) but I may just end up replacing at least the diaphragm, if not the top too.
I want to avoid all leaks cause I don't want to have to pull this thing apart again. Some of you don't think that replacing the injectors is a big job, but I have a bad back, and hate having to get up out of the car every 30-40 seconds to get another tool.

Re: Disassembling the fuel rail
did you get all the little sheet metal brackets off the FPR?
Have you got the o-ring kit to put it back together?
Sorensen Part # 800-9211 is the ticket. The Standard Motor Products SP26 that every vendor is selling is not even close to right.
This helped me:

Re: Disassembling the fuel rail
look carefully, there's like a barrel shaped piece that goes between the rear of the passenger rail and and the FPR. Mine was stuck. All the little Torx head bolts must be out of the bracket that goes on the front of the FPR.

I'm having trouble finding a "barrel" shaped piece. Here are some pictures. Maybe I'm missing something.

stinger, are you still working on this? The barrel shaped piece is between the FPR and the rail. I had to pry my FPR loose, it was stuck on the barrel. It's part #5 in the drawing I posted. Click on it to get a better view.
