Help building stock 305 TPI

So i have a stock 1990 GTa with a 305 TPI with the 700R4 trans and im looking into building a street legal speedy car....

Ive installed a K&N air filter and have plans for headers and straight pipes back to flowmaster dual exhaust

i have people telling me to buy this and that and throttle body spacers and blah blah blah, so i figured id come here to ask for advice and recommended parts.
Thanks guys.

The exhaust is a great place to start, its a choke point on a lot of these cars from what I've read. After that, I would go intake to make it breathe as well as possible. I don't have any specific recommendations as far as parts or anything. But I'll say it before someone else does to get it out of the way... drop a 350 in cuz teh powers! Lol :P seriously though if you want fast you can get a cheap junkyard 350 and drop it in fairly easily. Tons of threads about this swap. But there is also a lot on here about beefing up a 305, so do some searching for more specific ideas

Re: Help building stock 305 TPI

Headers, 3in exhaust, 3.42 posi, s10 torque converter, shift kit. This will make it feel like a different car. Next steps will be costlier but will put you in the playing field with the 350s, aftermarket heads, LT4Hotcam Kit, 1.6rr, bigger injectors, custom tune, better runners+ intake+ throttle body..etc etc.. Or...get a 350, save some coin. Its just up to you and how much cash you wana spend.
