Is a edelbrock Tpi intake base worth installing on a otherwise stock motor
So my parts car thru another surprise at me today. Its got a Edelbrock HiFlo intake base. Unfortunalty stock upper & runners. Almost missed it because of this.
Is there any worth in putting just the base on my Iroc with everything else stock?
If not what would something like that sell for?

Is this going on a 305 or 350? ....what are your long term goals? Bolting it up with everything else being stock, runners, plenum, cam, heads, tuning.....yeah, it'll help a little maybe. Not sure it's worth the labor really. ....if you plan on slowly piecing together a hi flow system, then yeah, it's a great starting point. If I were to do it again, I'd do heads, cam and intake at one time. ...but it's good starting point. ....if that's all you're gonna do though, you're better off selling it.
I had two so I sold one. Mine was a brand new edelbrock 3860, never used, and I sold it for $325 about 3 months ago, here on TGO.

The car it would be going onto is my Vert. Stock 305.
Goals for the car is more of a nice cruiser first, going fast second. Ive got other toys that go fast.
So Im thinking its a part that will sit or I will sell.
The intake also had what I was told were "ford" injectors. They are orange in color. Are they any better then stock?

Unless you need money for other car parts, if I were you I would just throw it on my car

I had ford SVO injectors in my L98. They were 24#(27#) pounders and they were black and blue. Actually had a tiny (and I mean TINY) little ford logo molded into the plastic up towards the top. ...Not sure I'd say they were better, but they were affordable and reliable replacements.
