fuel pressures (performance)

hey guys, I'm not sure if this has been asked before. I was reading some different threads on here and someone suggested bumping the fuel pressure above the OEM pressure on these motors because the engine craves more fuel. right now i need to turn my pressure down after redoing the fuel system for like the 3rd time.
right now its at 60psi with the vacuum hose attached (shouldnt it be at 41.5?) so before i go and set it and forget it....i was wondering if you guys think i should keep the pressure set a bit higher, say like 45psi? or would this be too much fuel for the car? thanks guys

(btw, my setup is in sig)

Re: fuel pressures (performance)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that since this has gotten 0 responses, i'll just throw it to the stock psi, then if i feel ambitious i'll adjust one day

Re: fuel pressures (performance)

isn't it supposed to be around 42, with the vacuum line disconnected for stock??

If you have 60 at idle with the vacuum line connected, I am going to guess that your pressure is WAY high when getting on it... (low vacuum increases pressure.)

Re: fuel pressures (performance)

I just adjusted it today....i went the wrong way first and got it jumping up to over 100psi. Once i adjusted it properly i got it to 45 with the vacuum off. It seems like it may crave a bit more fuel though. at 50 it was pretty happy. I didnt have the time today to adjust and test drive and compare. the night i put the new pump in it was about 40 degrees and the pressure was at about 60psi with the vacuum on, i was lighting up tires easy but not sure if that was just cuz of the dense colder air. time will tell, i'll have to keep tinkering unless someone here has a miracle number lol
