Help with 85' TPI EGR/PVC Vacuum EGR Deleted
Need Help. I have deleted my Air Pump/Smog lines and did an EGR delete as part of my project. My computer/PROM has been updated with my MODS by TPIS.COM
I am trying to figure out all of the ports and what goes to them or if they can be deleted/plugged as part of the EGR Delete. Driver's side, I have the PVC from valve cover going to manifold. On Throttle body: (driver's side) Brake booster in rear. Under Throttle linkage there is a small port underneath ???
Passenger side: PVC from Valve cover to where? Throttle Body (Rear) a medium sized port next to small port ???? Throttle Body (Front) a large port stacked over a medium ++ port (Not the water outlet)
Need help on this guys.... My Chilton does not cover this.

Re: Help with 85' TPI EGR/PVC Vacuum EGR Deleted
PCV is simple. The passenger side valve cover's "port" is supposed to have just an elbow in it as a "vent".... that goes to the passenger side port of the throttle body. It lets clean air INTO the crankcase. There are normally two large ports in the passenger side of the TB, one is for the charcoal canister and the other is the P/S valve cover "vent".
The PCV valve goes into the drivers side cover and needs a hose directly to the lower manifold. There is a large port between the runners for it on the drivers side. That's it....that's a basic PCV system.
The EGR is even simpler. Don't hook anything up to the EGR valve, you can even leave the valve in the manifold. Then you need to cap the little vacuum port on the drivers side bottom of the throttle body. That's it. Remove the egr vacuum lines and solenoid if you like.
Your post was a little confusing so I hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply, sorry for the confusion... So from what you are saying, plug the small vertical port underneath the throttle body, PVC from passenger side to to large port on throttle body, other large port cap or run to charcoal canister? What about the two smaller ports on passenger side near the rear of TB?
