Rough Idle

My old stock L98 developed a rough idle and was never able to find the reason since it had a 189K on it and was pretty worn I decided to do a rebuild/update.
new engine specs are 383, rebuilt stock 113 heads, stock intake, comp cams 08-302-8 http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...?csid=212&sb=2, BBK 52mm tb, 1 3/4 headers, TF 24lb injectors, rebuilt distributor, auto. Low and behold the same rough idle by rough I mean it shakes real bad especially wile idling in gear. I took it to a well known teck and he did all the checks I did including smoke test, ect. and is as stumped as I am. I would welcome some suggestions or if anyone now's of a good tpi teck in my area (17921) i would appreciate it. I have data logged and everything looks good, the only thing I used from the old motor was the heads and intake and the heads were rebuilt. the motor is in a 90 corvette. thank you.

Please list the checks that the both of you performed so we don't cover things that you've already done.

Re: Rough Idle

checks I did where vacuum, compression, fuel pressure, timing I data logged and all the data looked good, balance test of injectors, I am trying out a DSO201 Oscilloscope but just learning and its a steep learning curve. The teck I took it to said he did a vacuum leak check and checked the ignition but found nothing. egr is blocked off, I plan on getting an ostrich 2.0 and upping the idle and some more tuning but would like to find the problem with the idle the way it is. some one mentioned the reluctor losing its magnetism the distributor I rebuilt myself but am not sure how to check the reluctor. I did rebuild most of the wiring harness including replacing all of the tpi associated connectors. thanks for the reply.
