vibration

Hello,

I couple of years ago I bought a 350SBC short block. I added flexplate, damper, front acc, heads, etc. I'm using the same transmission and converter. The car had a 305 originally. So, I put all together and I fell a vibration at >2k-3k RPMs. Not sure it is caused by flexplate, damper, convertor, transmission, or engine/transmission mounts (poly). I know, really I know, there is a lot of discussion here on internally vs externally balanced engines. It's very confusing because there is no straight answer. So, can somebody give the part number for a damper and flexplate that would fit this engine? I'll be buying a new 700R4 from Bowtie and replacing mounts with rubber ones. Thanks

Re: vibration

The original engine had a one-piece rear main seal. What kind of rear main seal does the replacement engine have?

Re: vibration

Paulo,

Thanks for the reply.

To be honest, I have no idea. Is there any way to check without removing the transmission? I've been looking for the purchase docs but can't find them.

Re: vibration

You can remove the inspection cover under the torque converter and take a look.
