Long time guy, sold iroc, looking at 4th gen ls1

Hi all,

I sold my 88 iroc after all tuned up thanks to this board It came out great and ran strong. And I feel I became a great tuner using Moates. I really had it dialed in after over 100+ tunes.

So I have a Audi a6 stage 2 tuned daily now and looking at another project car. I really would like a mk2 audi tts 12sec car but they are 15k+

I have seen several 4th gen, I know this is 3rd gen board, but you guys rock and probably have experience with all cars.

I would love a clean iroc again still probbaly 7-10k unless massive project.

I have seen many 93-95 4th gen birds and z LT1 autos around 2500-3000. Most look solid old dailys that have 120k.

for 4k your in the mod lt1

5k though I have seen several clean LS1 98-02 z and 1 bird.

I really want a second car as a toy for fridays to work and weekends. sound solid and runs 12s with minimal effort.

since lt1/ls1 look the same and I know ls1 rocks. is lt1 worth half the price? with few mods to get to 12s and opti spark etc...

I think a 5k 01 with 130k all clean original is not bad and with some TLC bolts ons it will be a solid 12sec car.

If I really want to F with people I will add 150hp shot and try for 11s and kill some c7 vettes and 911

Glad you got the tuning figured out on the IROC TPI.

But if you are looking for cheap performance you cannot beat an LS1 with a 6 speed. Skip the 93-97 LT1 engines, no matter how tempting the low price might seem.
