Stock Aluminum Drive Shafts?

I thought I read a post on here stating that a few years, the F-bodies did come with stock aluminum drive shafts. Am I correct? If so was it camaro, or the firebirds, and about what years. I would like to put one in my 91 3.1l, but to me its not worth 400 bux, but provided I could find one in a salvage yard, its all good. Thanks

Any LS1 driveshaft will work, and manual and auto cars use the same shaft.

Some GTA's received them and all 1LE's (Camaros and Firebirds) came with them. Look for JG1 in the SPID.

I thought V6's had a different 2 piece driveshaft because of vibrations of the engine or something.

If not, don't mind me... I got a good load of crack earlier and am toking it in that case.

No prob, im new on camaros, so usually any info is helpful, or worth getting the mind moving. I also wonder if the camaro driveshaft will fit in my s10?? Same engine, "same" rear axle? Hum, gonna have to try that one.
